Who We Are
The Foundation for Women’s Leadership and Empowerment (“FWLE”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2019 to provide affordable education that empowers and develops women, as equal partners with men, for all levels of leadership.
It is a proven fact – women leaders bring enormous value to economies and societies! There is mounting global pressure to accelerate gender equality and advance more women into leadership across all industries and professions. Education is the most powerful tool to motivate women to build their confidence and skills to take center stage in leading teams, organizations, communities and societies.
FWLE aspires to help bridge the all-too-prevalent gap in women’s access to quality leadership education. The Women’s Leadership Conference (“WLC”) – now FWLE’s anchor event – has educated thousands of women in leadership competencies since 2007. We strive to expand the social impact of WLC by presenting this premiere conference at locations beyond Las Vegas, and offering additional skills-based seminars, webinars and programs that promote leadership skills.
FWLE aims to drive gender equality and inclusion by making its leadership programs affordable to aspiring women and men in early and mid-stage leadership as well as senior-level executives from all quarters of society. Helping women take the critical first step up to leadership on the ladder of success addresses what McKinsey and LeanIn labeled the biggest obstacle women face – the “broken rung.” Further, McKinsey and other researchers have documented that women and minorities of color face greater hurdles than their white peers in professional development, advancement opportunities and equal pay.
Elimination of gender gaps in education, career paths and roles – and full use of the talent of women on all fronts – will transform the profile of leadership of all organizations and societies, for the benefit of America and the world.
