Aspiring Women now Accredited!

Dear FWLE Community:

FWLE is excited to announce a new program development designed to support the continuous career growth and advancement of our community of aspiring achievers!

The Continuing Education & Professional Development Division of Educational Outreach for the University of Nevada Las Vegas (“UNLV”) has approved FWLE’s application for accreditation of our Aspiring Women IV (“AWIV”) webinar series, which will allow attendees who complete our entire AWIV program to obtain .6 Continuing Education Units (“CEUs”) accredited by UNLV. Upon completion of AWIV, after payment of a modest $250.00 program fee, the attendee will receive a Certificate of Completion from FWLE memorializing achievement of these credits.

By way of information, a CEU is a standard unit of measure by which professionals and organizations formally recognize the value of continuing education programs; it is nationally recognized as a measure of a program participant’s completion of a non-college credit learning program. Although a CEU does not constitute academic credit for a degree program, earned CEUs can demonstrate the holder’s work skills and provide employers with a history of her/his professional development initiative and activities, which can contribute to the holder’s career advancement. Additionally, CEUs may be accepted as credit toward professional certifications offered by organizations like FWLE in the future.

With today’s announcement, there are now two registration options for AWIV. You may register to participate in the program free of charge. If you wish to obtain the .6 CEUs upon completion of AWIV, you can register for that option at the price of $250.00. Either way, you will be able to watch all six sessions of the AWIV program online, during the scheduled webinars themselves, or on-demand, at your convenience for the period of six months after the program. You can access either option at https://www.fwle.org/aspiring-women.

In connection with this announcement please review our Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) and answers about this new AWIV CEU option.

Most of all, the opportunity for AWIV participants to obtain these CEUs represents an investment in yourself, your education and development, and your career. Again, we are pleased to take this next step with you in the evolution of our FWLE programs to better serve your career enhancement!

Sincerely,

Phyllis A. James
